Yogamotion provides a variety of Yoga classes for Seniors to assist with general mobility, general fitness and wellbeing. These classes keep both the body and mind active. Seniors classes fill up quickly, so be sure to book in advance.

SENIORS YOGA

Yoga Classes for Strength, Stability & Bone Health

Seniors classes will get you moving through gentle stretches, joint rotation, balance and strenghtening exercises. As in all our yoga classes, we will focus on deep (diaphragmatic) breathing for optimising oxygenation to the cells in the body which also activates the parasympathetic nervous system making you feel calm and relaxed.

Yoga for Seniors focus on areas typically associated with issues such as tight hips, weak abdominal area, tight neck and shoulders and back care.

6 Week Yoga program for Seniors includes:

  • Learn deep (diaphragmatic) breathing for relaxation and optimising oxygenation to blood cells.
  • Learn basic yoga postures suitable for beginner level Seniors.
  • Gentle stretching.
  • Balance and strengthening exercises.
  • Joint rotation exercises.
  • Relieve typical problem areas such as tight neck & shoulders, weak core and tight and uneven hips.
